This is an ADSL filter that fits onto a NTE5 socket in place of the removable connection unit. The unit provides a normal telephone socket and a socket for your modem. It will filter other extensions around your house without the need for lots of plug in filters. (This unit does not come with an NTE5 socket, you would need to purchase that separately).
