The NTE 5A should be the first socket on your line. They are also relatively easy to fit and come with fitting instructions and backbox supplied. The removable connection unit provides a clear demarcation between the customer extension wiring and the network operator's line.

The ADSL Faceplate Filter fits onto the NTE5 socket in place of the removable connection unit. The unit provides a normal telephone socket and a socket for your modem. It will filter other extensions around your house without the need for lots of plug in filters.
